Riding for the Disabled Association LGB We are desperately in need of extra Volunteers to walk alongside our riders. Often our riders are having to only ride for ten minutes and share ponies rather than getting their full 1/2 hour session! No experience with horses or ponies is necessary as training will be given. We are also in need of Volunteers with some experience handling ponies to lead ponies for our riders. Our sessions currently take place at... Melrose Farm, Castel on Wednesday's 1.30-2 and 2-2.30pm La Carriere Riding Centre, St Sampson's on Thursday's 1/2 hr sessions from 1 - 2.30pm Any offers of help (even just one 1/2 session per week) will be greatly appreciated. Volunteer side walkers or pony leaders We are looking for volunteers to help during our riding sessions. You will be required to walk along side the rider, helping to convey instructions and ensuring safety during their riding lesson. We also need people confident to lead ponies. We ride on Mondays, 1.15 to 2pm, Wednesdays 1pm to 2.30pm at Otterbourne Riding Centre, Torteval and Thursdays,12.30 to 1.15 at La Carriere Riding Stables, Baubigny. All rides are during school term time only. Experience not necessary as training will be given but a basic level of fitness is required. Volunteers for Riding sessions Volunteers are desperately needed to walk as 'side helpers' by our riders or to lead horses and ponies during our half hour RDA sessions. Experience is not essential as training will be provided. If you fancy getting out in the fresh air, getting some exercise while making a massive difference to someone else's life then please come and join us.
