SAVE THE DATE Thursday 7th March - Conference Friday 8th March - Training Day A two day event at Les Cotils, Guernsey discussing topics around suicide with guest speakers from Suicide Bereavement UK. This event is being supported by Talking Benches, Guernsey Mind and Samaritans Guernsey. Further information and booking details will be released in January.

Quiz Night
St John Guernsey LBG

Raising funds for St John Youth, this fun evening of quizing will be taking place on Saturday 16th March at the St John Training Hall in the Rohais. Doors open at 6pm for a 6:30 start. All welcome . Teams of 4-6 with under 14s to be accompanied by an adult. Tickets are £12 per person and include a meal. Bar service will be available. Extra parking kindly provided at the Badminton Hall or at Waitrose (old recycling area). Tickets available by emailing quiz@stjohn.gg or Telephoning 01481 727129.

The Well Gardened Mind
Plant Heritage Guernsey

Thursday, April 18th 2024, 7.00 PM - 8.00PM Les Cotils, Harry Bound Room PHG Members £5, Non-members £10 Sue Stuart-Smith will give an illustrated talk entitled ‘The Well Gardened Mind’, based on her book of the same name. This was a Sunday Times & Times book of the year in 2020 and has been translated into 18 languages. It was very well reviewed. A prominent psychiatrist & psychotherapist, she also trained as a doctor. Dr Stuart-Smith will discuss how gardening can answer to deep existential needs & will present findings from recent research, which shows how connecting to nature can alleviate symptoms of anxiety, stress & depression. She is married to Tom Stuart-Smith the celebrated garden designer.
