Description Aims and Objectives
Our prime aim is to offer care and support to those in the Bailiwick suffering from the disease – and to those who dedicate their lives to caring for them…
This includes:
Providing a small team of visitors.
Lending equipment, free of charge, (under the direction of medical professionals), to enable continuing independence.
Contributing towards vital research into MND
Liaising with the Department of Health and Social Services on behalf of patients with MND.
Assisting with the education and training of health and social care professionals.

This illness affects people in different ways, so no two people will have exactly the same symptoms or experience of MND
MND affects not only the person with the disease, but those close to them.
GUERNSEY MOTOR NEURONE is the name given to a group of related diseases affecting the motor neurones inthe brain and spinal cord.
A diagnosis of MND is an overwhelming time for the patient and we are here, in Guernsey, to provide emotional and practical support, to give help and advice for those within the Bailiwick who need it. (Guernsey, Herm, Sark and Alderney)
