Employment and Social Security (ESS) have published the summary of their consultation findings on the discrimination legislation proposals.
The next key date is Monday 2nd March when ESS will publish the policy letter for the legislation and Equality & Rights Organisation (ERO), which will then debated 22-24th April

Over the last few years the GDA has morphed to respond to the local challenges around local policy and practice and our members demands.

In the summer we recruited Carol Le Page to Director Social Policy. Carol has excellent knowledge and experience in this are and will lead all local policy. Carol job shares with Karen Blanchford who will focus on We All Matter, Eh? and the voice of members.
With a new term and new Deputies and committees we are looking to recruit a number of volunteers:
* Corporate Secretariat
* Communications lead
These are all exciting voluntary roles as we head into a new era.

Purple Tuesday 2020
Purple Tuesday 2020 breakfast will be Tuesday 3rd November from 8:45am at Digital Greenhouse. The focus is on changing the customer experience for disabled people. It involves organisations of all sizes and from all sectors taking decisive, practical actions to meet the needs of disabled customers.
