2013 Christmas Lottery
Tickets for the 2013 Channel Islands Christmas Lottery are on sale in shops, garages, and other outlets around the islands. This year the tickets are £2 - and they include TWO separate numbers for the lottery draw.
The first prize jackpot rises as more tickets are sold. It is starting with a minimum of £300,000 (last year it reached £686,000).
There is also the scratchcard (which has been improved this year) that offers plenty of instant cash prizes - up to £5000.
As always, the Christmas Lottery is important to local charities, as all of the proceeds from tickets sold in Guernsey will be given to the Association of Guernsey Charities to distribute to local projects and good causes. The 2012 Christmas draw raised £190,589, which helped 29 local projects (click the link on the right for details of the 2012 grants).
The prizes for the 2013 Lottery Draw are:
First Prize AT LEAST £300,000 (see update below)
Second Prize £50,000
Third Prize £25,000
plus 45 prizes of £500
All tickets also incorporate a Scratchcard - the chance to win an instant cash prize from £2 up to £5,000. Just scratch the symbols to reveal the hidden images. Find a "Santa Claus" and win the amount of money shown.
This year's Christmas Lottery will be drawn on Thursday 19 December at Beau Sejour. Our website and Facebook page will show information about the first prize as it rises.
The Association of Guernsey Charities is pleased to support the Channel Islands Christmas Lottery, and is grateful to everyone who supports the draw as it raises much needed sums of money for our charities and voluntary organisations to put towards local projects.
10 December: New record for the jackpot... £905,000. Tickets selling fast, but still available from all usual outlets.
