The 2014 Channel Islands Christmas Lottery

The 2014 Christmas Lottery tickets are now on sale around the island.  Each year the Christmas Lottery raises thousands of pounds for local good causes.  Last year over £200,000 was raised in Guernsey, which helped 33 local organisations fund projects and services around the island for the benefit of the local community.

Christmas Lottery tickets cost £2 each, and you get TWO independent numbers on each ticket - so TWO chances to win a prize in the draw.  In addition each ticket has a scratchcard, where you could win up to £5,000 instant cash.

The first prize is starting at £300,000 and will rise as tickets sell - last year it overtopped £1 million. There's also 2nd prize £50,000, 3rd prize £25,000, and 50 prizes of £500.

We'll publish details of the latest first prize updates on our Facebook & Twitter pages so please follow these to hear the latest news.

The draw is on Thursday 18 December.

Malcolm Woodhams, Vice Chairman of the Association of Guernsey Charities said, “Every year the Christmas Lottery helps to fund a huge variety of projects and services around the islands. Everyone who purchases tickets here in Guernsey will, in effect, be helping to support some of the tremendous good work in our community. The States of Guernsey has just agreed to ensure that Christmas Lottery proceeds will continue to be given to local charities, and we hope that this year’s draw is a great success so that we can help plenty more projects through next year.”

Deputy Francis Quin from Guernsey’s Lottery Advisory Panel said, “After last year’s record breaking £1,038,000 top prize, we are hoping for another good year so that proceeds can continue to support local good causes, and if the top prize goes even higher this year, it will make a very merry Christmas for someone.”

Tickets can be bought from retail outlets, newsagents, Beau Sejour Leisure Centre, the Guernsey Information Centre and pubs. For bulk purchases please contact Culture and Leisure on 709714.

Charities wishing to apply for a Lottery Grant to help with a local project or service in 2015 will need to complete a Lottery Grant Application Pack which will be available to download on this page from the start of December.
