The Affray Submarine Memorial TrustMember Number: 349Description Aims and Objectives A trust to ensure proper acknowledgment of the loss of HM Submarine "Affray" and its crew. The Trust intends to erect a permanent memorial of cast bronze mounted on a stone plinth, to record the loss of 75 crew (officers, sailors, and Royal Marines) when HM Submarine Affray was lost in the English Channel, off Alderney, in 1951. The plaque will be erected at Douglas Quay, Alderney - the nearest landfall to where the Affray, and its crew, still lies.
Organisation and Management The Trust is run by the Alderney Trustees Ltd, which is licensed by the Guernsey Financial Services Commission.
