Georgina's Gang

Member Number:   316

Description Aims and Objectives

Georgina's Gang has been formed solely for the purposes of supporting a young person, Georgina Pearce, who has the life limiting illness, Neimann Pic, remain in her home with family.  Funds required for equipment and housing alterations to accommodate her disabilities.

Georgina's Gang aims to offer support, both financially and emotionally, to Georgina and her family as Georgina's degenerative condition demands constant adjustment to the physical environment which the family live in.  Funds will contribute to the equipment and housing alterations required for the family to continue to care for Georgina in her own home.

The Gang organises social events in which Georgina and her family can participate, and fundraising will take place at these events.  The Gang also hope for some corporate donations.

Georgina's Gang is mindful of the ongoing research into Neimann Pic, and are committed to supporting this research by donating a proportion of funds towards this charity.

Organisation and Management

Georgina's Gang is managed and run by a committee consisting of an elected Chairperson, Secretary, and Treasurer.  There are also five other additional committee members as well as a number of other supporters of the gang who are involved in fundraising activities.  The committee meet bi-monthly.

Finance

Fundraising is co-ordinated by the Gang, and donations are also welcomed.  The Treasurer is a Chartered Accountant, and financial records are presented to the committee on an annual basis.
