Description Aims and Objectives

The friends of St. James Association was formed in 1981 to bring about the restoration of St. James and then to administer the building as a concert and assembly hall.

The building hosts concerts of all kinds, seminars, marriages, vins d'honneur, receptions, dinners, displays lectures and dances. 

The "Friends" hire the building to third parties, and also promote a number of events/performances themselves.

Organisation and Management

The 1000 plus membership is headed by a Council of Officers and ordinary members who ensure that the Association maintains its constitutional path.

The building is administered by a small employed staff.

Finance

Through income from hiring the building, subscriptions (both corporate and individual), donations, and States of Guernsey funding.
