The Friends of KateteMember Number: 303Description Aims and Objectives A private charity formed to support a needy region in eastern Zambia, which is familiar to the founders. The charity aims to provide financial aid and material support for the ongoing development of two existing institutions; St. Francis' Hospital and Tikondane Community Centre. The founders of The Friends of Katete have been involved with, and regularly visited, both institutions for 10 years, and have raised substantial funds through the Guernsey Overseas Aid Commission, Private Trusts, and individual donations.
Organisation and Management A committee, consisting of Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, plus other members as appropriate.
Finance Private and corporate donations, and general fund-raising (for example flag days).
