The Friends of Guernsey HeritageMember Number: 276Description Aims and Objectives A charitable organisation established under a constitution permitting seven categories of membership. It can raise money but not undertake permanent trading activities and has been set up to further the charitable purposes of the museums it supports. The organisation aims to further the preservation of certain Guernsey public museums, sites and other properties and activities, and the edification of the public by promotion, support, assistance and improvement of these museums, and to unite all who desire to see the history of Guernsey and the museums preserved, restored and, where appropriate, publicly displayed. The Friends of Guernsey Heritage will raise money to further the museums charitable purposes and encourage the development of their facilities, and will promote and engage in social, cultural, educational and other events and activities.
Organisation and Management The organisation has a committee comprised of a Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, Publicity Officer and five members, which manages the organisations funds and affairs.
Finance Through members fees and donations.
