Description Aims and Objectives

A voluntary organisation the provides facilities, information and support with respect to caring for hedgehogs.

The Centre aims:

  • to care for sick, injured or orphaned hedgehogs under veterinary guidance and supervision, and then release them when assessed to be capable of surviving in the wild

  • to increase public awareness about hedgehogs and the hazards that they face, and to encourage children's interest in, and respect for, hedgehogs

  • to assist in scientific research in to hedgehogs and their behaviour

 

Organisation and Management

The Centre is run entirely by volunteers.  The main day to day management is under the founder, Mrs Dawn Robin, supported by a committee, including veterinary consultant, Secretary and Treasurer.

 

Finance

Through the founder, as well as other fund raising.
