Description Aims and Objectives

The Wessex Medical Trust is a charitable trust operating within the Wessex region – Hampshire, Dorset, Wiltshire, Isle of Wight, Guernsey, and Jersey.

 The trust raises funds to support vital medical research into a wide range of diseases that could affect anyone.

Although HOPE is a UK charity, it has been associated with Guernsey for many years. In recent times research has been undertaken which was specifically aimed at the islands’ health (infant asthma and breast cancer).

Organisation and Management

The charity is based in Southampton. HOPE Guernsey is a local group run by a committee, and a respected team of Doctors, Surgeons and researchers who decide, together with the trustees, on the appropriate research to be funded.
