Bailiwick of Guernsey Victim Support SchemeMember Number: 211Description Aims and Objectives Bailiwick of Guernsey Victim Support is a National Charity with which Guernsey has a partnering agreement. They offer a free, confidential service to victims, witnesses, family and friends affected by crime, regardless of when the crime occurred and whether or not it was reported. The specially trained volunteers provide emotional support, practical help and information. There is also the Witness Service from self contained Witness Suite within the new court building. Volunteers support witnesses, their family and friends before, during and after a criminal trial.
Organisation and Management Run by a local management committee.
Finance Initial Lloyds TSB Foundation grant to start the scheme, thereafter through voluntary contributions and a grant from the Home Department.
