Crimestoppers TrustMember Number: 200Description Aims and Objectives A national charity which assists the police in the detection and reduction of crime. Funds are provided to enable rewards to be paid to those who assist, on a confidential basis (i.e. identity not known to police) and for publicity material. The main object is to assist in the detection of crime, the recovery of property, and to attain a reduction in crime levels.
Organisation and Management The National Board of Trustees is supported by regional Boards of Directors in virtually all police force areas in the U.K., Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey.
Finance Donations, many from corporate sources. Funds for exceptional rewards can be provided centrally by the national organisation.
