Description Aims and Objectives

Actionaid is an independent voluntary organisation working with many deprived communities in the poorer countries of the world. Help is provided by child sponsorship and voluntary contributions to enable basic education to be achieved, coupled with community development to help families to become self-supporting within their own environment. Clean water, education, health care and agricultural development and training are the priorities.

Organisation and Management

Actionaid Guernsey is a support group run by a committee of ten members. In each year the committee undertakes to fund a specific overseas project.

Finance

By sales, coffee mornings, raffles, sponsored events and collections.
