Description Aims and Objectives

An autonomous local branch affiliated to a national organisation. Head Office keeps branches supplied with current information on trial treatments and progress into finding the cause and cure. The Guernsey Branch provides aids for all patients, as well as caring for them and befriending the family, giving support.

Organisation and Management

Although affiliated to the national charity, the local branch is responsible for its day-to-day running. There is a full local committee, consisting of Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, nurses, and M.N.D. patient carers.

Finance

Money is raised from fund-raising events, sale of stamps, books and jars, etc., collecting tins, subscriptions, and donations. When not in use, equipment held by the charity can be borrowed by anyone in need of aids.
