Description Aims and Objectives

• Relate is a national registered charity with over 50 years experience in helping people with relationships

• Relate can provide counselling for you and your partner or for you on your own

• Relate can help if you are having problems and want to work them out, or if you want to separate, or if your relationship has ended

• Counsellors are carefully selected and trained by Relate to a nationally recognised standard. They receive continuing support and supervision and have access to a range of professional consultants. In this way consistently high standards are maintained

• Relate has a written complaints procedure and abides by the Codes of Ethics and Practice of the British Association for Counselling

Organisation and Management

• Each Relate centre is an independent organisation, which is registered as a charity in its own name. All the centres are affiliated to National Relate and abide by its standards

• Relate Guernsey is a limited company with a Management Committee, answerable through the Chairman to the Board of Directors. The company also has a group of Trustees

Finance

Donations from clients and the general public, donations from company charitable funds and from the States of Guernsey.
