Christmas Lottery first
prize increases once more The first prize in the 2009 Christmas Lottery has gone up for the third time in less than two weeks. During the first 10 days of tickets being available, over 80,000 more tickets have been issued to Bailiwick agents compared to the same period in 2008 enabling the first prize to grow to a minimum of £331,000. ‘By supporting the Christmas Lottery the general public are really helping the local charities, for every ticket that is bought more money can be put back into much needed assistance for the many deserving projects.’ Says David Farrimond, Chairman of the Association of Guernsey Charities. Tickets are on sale at
just £1 from most newsagents, pubs, retail outlets, Beau Sejour Leisure
Centre and the Guernsey Information Centre amongst others.
