Christmas Lottery first
prize goes up already With tickets being on sale for just one week the first prize in the 2009 Christmas Lottery has already gone up to £312,000. Lottery tickets went on sale on Monday 26 October with the first prize at that time standing at £300,000. During the past week sufficient tickets have been sold to allow the guaranteed first prize to grow to £312,000. ‘This is a great start to the Christmas lottery, and will give a massive boost to all charities that may benefit from the proceeds as so many local services are supported by the charitable sector’, says David Farrimond, Chairman of the Association of Guernsey Charities. Tickets are on sale at just £1 from most newsagents, pubs, retail outlets, Beau Sejour Leisure Centre and the Guernsey Information Centre amongst others.
