Description Aims and Objectives
The Guernsey Specials Gym Club is a club for special needs children, run by British Gymnastics qualified coaches. The Club has been set up to provide an after-school activity for the children and offer them the enjoyment of gymnastics.
The club operates on Thursday's between 4.00pm and 4.45pm for 4 to 7 year olds, and then between 5.15pm and 6.15pm for 7 years and above.
Organisation and Management
The Club is run by a small team consisting of trained coaches, professionals, volunteers and parents (some of whom have children with physical disabilities or special needs). The Committee consists of trained coaches, professionals and volunteers. The Club is always pleased to hear from anyone who wishes to undertake training to become a coach or who would like to help as a volunteer.
The Club is always grateful for any donations received which ensure the continued running of the sessions.
The Club has no salaried staff and are very grateful to coaches and committee who all give an enormous amount of their time every week.
