Description Aims and Objectives

Guernsey Gateway Club LBG (formerly known as La Corbinerie Gateway Club), was formed in September 1969 to provide a social environment for adults with learning disabilities living in Guernsey, Channel Islands.

The club is open on Thursday evenings between 19:30 and 21:00, for 10 months of the year, only breaking for the month of August, Christmas and New Year.

We meet at La Corbinerie Clubhouse which is located between The Health and Well-being Centre and A&E beside the restored Mignot House on the PEH site.

As a club our volunteers organise a wide variety of social, leisure and recreational activities for all members to enjoy, these include music evenings, bar meals, bingo, craft nights, disco's and many other fun events.

The club is affiliated to Royal MENCAP (see member number 018)

Organisation and Management

Guernsey Gateway Club LBG is run by a dedicated and outgoing team of volunteers, and financed entirely by fund-raising events and donations.

All funds given to the Club are used wholly for activities for the benefit of all members.
