Air Cadets is open to all young people between the ages of 12 and 18. Our aims are to: - Encourage the spirit of adventure and develop qualities of leadership and good citizenship - Promote and encourage a practical interest in aviation and the Royal Air Force among young people - Provide training which will be useful in the Services and civilian life Activities at meetings are therefore quite varied and not exclusively aviation related. For example: adventurous training (Eg. hiking, canoeing, climbing); shooting; parade & drill exercises; educational (Eg. first aid training, map reading, navigation, general aeronautics); aviation related excursions; and DofE scheme. Occasional Drum Corps Instructor We are looking for a suitably qualified individual for occasional instruction of the Cadets Drum Corps prior to parades, etc. particularly in the build up to Liberation 75 events.
